Tucked away in the Northern side, outside Murchison falls national park, Fort Murchison Lodge is a budget and mid range facility featuring rooms and comfortable thatched tents facing the Albert Nile, giving the guests great views during their stay.
Fort Murchison Lodge has 12 en-suite beautiful rooms with private balconies. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and bathrooms with warm showers. Apart from the cottages/rooms, Fort Murchison Lodge has tents though non-self-contained. They are all placed under a grass thatched roof with two beds, a bed side table and a power outlet. All beds are provided with beddings and towels while the showers and flushing toilets are on a sharing basis. The lodge has a restaurant but with a fixed menu and they always welcome timely requests from guests with special dietary requirements.
Its location in the former Aswa Game Reserve, always give the guests an opportunity of viewing the wildlife that keep roaming the place. Still with its location of a few meters from the Tangi gate where the main game trails start, visitors find themselves getting that special treat of hitting the game trails before other visitors and this gives them the chance of viewing the animals before they are scared away by the sounds of other vehicles. Also staying at Fort Murchison Lodge for more than one night will be an advantage to the visitor who will have to do more than enough game drives as you travel to/from the park and the lodge, giving you chances of spotting the wildlife that you may have missed during the scheduled game drives.
