Depart after breakfast at 7 a.m. for the transfer to Serengeti National Park, exploring the landscapes en route through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and passing by Olduvai Gorge - the site where Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skull of early man. Continue to Serengeti for an exciting afternoon of wildlife viewing.
This incredible destination features endless savannah plains teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five: buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, and rhinos, as well as large numbers of wildebeest, gazelles, zebras, and more.
The day is dedicated to an extensive game drive in Serengeti National Park, featuring both morning and afternoon wildlife viewing experiences. The expansive Serengeti-Mara ecosystem hosts the renowned annual Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and hundreds of Thomson's gazelles cross the crocodile-infested Grumeti and Mara rivers to the Maasai Mara and back.
Witnessing this spectacular event, which would require more days in Serengeti National Park, is particularly rewarding. The park is also home to rare antelope species such as the roan antelope, klipspringer, lesser kudu, dik-dik, and fringe-eared oryx, as well as 500 bird species.
Enjoy breakfast before embarking on a final game drive through the vast savannahs of Serengeti for more wildlife viewing opportunities. Afterward, transfer back to Arusha.
