Gorilla tracking in the western part of Uganda is mainly done in Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park boardering with the Democratic Republic of Congo and further south west with the Mgahinga National Park boardering with the Congo and Rwanda. The two day gorilla trek package is designed mainly for the adventure travelers staying in or around the neighbouring towns of Bwindi and Mgahinga Parks like Kabale,Mbarara and Kisoro.

Day 1 - You will be picked up by our driver guide at 9AM for a briefing about your two day safari drive to either Ruhija, Buhoma, Rushaga or the Nkuringo section for an overnight in the Impenetrable forest to prepare for the next days Gorilla trek.
Dinner and Overnight at the Gorilla Mist Camp OR Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 2 - We shall wake up to a usually a great view of the misty Bwindi or Mgahinga forest parks, head for our breakfast and also grab our packed lunch for the days gorilla trek. During this moment, your driver guide shall ask for your passport/s to enable him register you for the day's gorilla adventure trip. At 8AM, you will head out for the gorilla briefing moment on ways and procedures taken during the Gorilla tracking Moment.
The tracking shall usually start at 8:30AM with the help armed ranger guides and porters for those who wish to be helped carrying their large cameras and bags. This help however comes at an added fee of 15-20 US dollars for their entire trek.
The tracking time and exact moment to view the gorillas cannot be guaranteed as all this depends on where the gentle giants last fed from the previous evening and how fast or energetic the trackers are. Viewing of the gorillas once spotted will go for one hour and also have an hour in the forest to take your packed lunch. After the successful gorilla trek, you will then return to the park's headquarters for a gorilla graduation ceremony where you will receive certificates confirming your participation in the Gorilla tracking.
