3 Days Sabyinyo mountain hike tour or hiking mount sabyinyo safari, takes you 3669m top of the volcano. Mount sabyinyo is found in Mgahinga National park in Kisoro. The first Sabyinyo peak is at 3423m, second at 3537m and the last one at 3669m.

Itinerary for the 3 Days Sabyinyo Mountain Hike tour

Day 1 - Travel to Kisoro town

After your breakfast, drive to Kisoro town to get ready for your next day's Sabyinyo volcano mountain climbing. The journey takes us through Uganda’s equator with a stop over for some photograph taking, Masaka town and later to Mbarara town for lunch at Agip Motel and continue through Kabale town and 1 hour again to Kisoro town.

Check into Travellers Rest for an Overnight.

Day 2 - Your Sabyinyo Volcano hiking Adventure.

Climbing the extinct volcano is done in south western region of Uganda and this consists of climbing 3 peaks. Our hike to Sabyinyo takes us through muddy trails often on wooden ladders with expectations of patchy / partial rain and clearing clouds as you get to the beautiful view of Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo.

At this time, the view is at times reduced to 10ft, reach the summit view and from here you will be able to see all the 3 Countries that is Uganda, Rwanda and Congo(DRC). This hike some times involves walking straight high up the mountain without going round it.

The views and challenges of Hiking Mountain Sabyinyo makes it worth for the adventurous volcano climbing. Accommodation at the Travellers Rest.

Day 3 - Travel day back to kampala.

After your breakfast, embark on your return journey back to kampala.

The hike can take up to 8 hours and 14km in return.
